If there was a game that captivated and grabbed the attention of children and adults all over the world, it would be soccer. Also commonly known as football. Regardless of culture, language or continent you live in, you will always be in contact with people who are only interested in football. When I first played this sport, I was fascinated by the idea and concept of the game soccer. A net is attached to a rectangular frame from which the ball is thrown backwards. Hard to act, but easy to say. I grew up with this sport in various schools and clubs. I have found that my passion for football is central to my life. Scoring the winning goal at the World Cup has become a constant daydream. Every time I walked, I pretended to have a 32-lane round ball at my feet, and my only goal was to pass the person in front of me. I didn’t care about the venue because I could play anywhere from the beach to the tennis court, from the street to the bus stop. Every Friday afternoon, I was seduced by the joy and excitement as I ran home to play soccer with my friends. Only my mother could stop me from playing, and she could force me inside. This passion for football has greatly influenced my training and improved my skills. While on the field, the only thing that mattered to me was to do my best in the moment.

The gentle atmosphere of football, the spectators wrapped in blankets to endure the chill of a January night, the team working together like well-designed machines, and the experience of having the freezing wind blowing in your face as you run inspired me. These are moments marked by immense pressure and split-second decisions, and I live for them. Contrary to what many believe soccer is to be played with the feet, soccer is also a mental game as any experienced player can attest. Because of my passion for games, I always feel the urge to learn more and teach others. Games are always challenging and usually require you to face new obstacles or learn new concepts. Hard work and dedication will help you get through the awkward and frustrating moments and ultimately reach your goals. My teammates, family and coaches are always there for support and appreciation. In my junior year, I decided to join my high school’s soccer team. Despite the slim odds, I trained tirelessly and was one of the players selected for the national team on selection day. It was both exciting and surprising. I use the skills I have acquired through experience, both in my studies and in my daily life. Finally, I would like to say that football not only gives me the motivation to never give up, but also gives me unforgettable moments. That’s why football is and always will be a part of my life.
