Answer

Micropolitics is a concept used especially in organizational theories. It is mainly concerned with the activities carried out within the organization to achieve, develop and use power in order to achieve the desired results for the organization (Ives et al. 2016). Micropolitics can be combined with education, organization and even education. According to research, politics is seen as an integral part of the coach’s repertoire (Potrac, Nelson and O`Gorman 2016). The rationale behind this is that a coach’s effectiveness depends not only on the number of wins and losses, but also on an individual’s ability to get support from power brokers (including athletes, coaches, and founders). The researchers also revealed that politics is an integral part of the pervasive and pervasive characteristics of human behavior. It refers to the fact that policy existence can be observed in any activity between two people engaged in a collective activity (Gibson and Groom 2019). Recent studies have addressed the relationship of micropolitics to the social performance of coaching. This is unavoidable for operations where change is frequent.

This particular study aimed to investigate the veracity of claims – coaching as a micropolitical activism. This study aims to discuss a real-life example of coaching practice and its relationship to micropolitics.

After a brief introduction to micropolitics and its scope, the paper states the central purpose or idea of this study. It will provide insight into the desired outcome a coach wants after reaching the final stage of a set goal. It will explain the key people and their role in influencing a coach’s ability to succeed. The study will further demonstrate the strategies a coach should adopt for athletic training activities. He will reflect on contemporary issues associated with coaching activities. The study will provide an analysis of the literature regarding a coach’s knowledge. Finally, it will provide a reflection on the application of training theory in practice.

Purpose of the study

Sports are an area where weather and geography play an important role. For example, running is a sport where athletes from the highlands perform better than athletes from the plains. This is because they are trained enough to compete in relatively worse situations than lowland athletes (Garvey et al. 2017). The biggest problem in sports coaching is the lack of a suitable professional coach or coach. Sports federations are only looking for retired athletes to train new or new athletes. Despite this, sports coaching is often criticized as ineffective in training new athletes well and providing them with sufficient knowledge of technical skills relevant to the sport field (Hunt 2016). Technical skills refer to player development, program planning, sports preparation and technique. Neglecting these areas often leads to poor athlete performance and reduced motivation or interest in the sport. According to the opening of the document, the most important problem in sports training is corruption. Management involved in this type of issue includes areas such as money received from donors. This is one of the reasons for lowering the morale of athletes and the sport as a whole. One of the causes of corruption is the lack of employment opportunities in the training sector. Other significant issues observed in sports coaching are the harassment and discrimination of coaches against athletes. These are the ethical challenges posed by the sport sector (Cushion and Townsend 2019). It involves coaches favoring a particular gender when other members of the athlete group feel discriminated against. Another issue on the same list is privacy bleach. It refers to a situation where a coach fails to protect a particular practitioner’s profile.

The study of sports and coaching issues was started around 1937. Much empirical knowledge was published in 1999 by various researchers. At this time, scholars have formed various definitions of the terms coach and coach. Incorporating the existing definition of a coach, it can be said that the responsibility of an ideal coach is to engage in rehabilitation activities or to reframe techniques combined with other fields of study, including counseling, psychology, and counseling (Stout-Rostron 2017). However, the relationship of counseling to coaching activities has been limited by a number of studies. Other responsibilities of the coach include establishing formal contracts, building relationships with team members, assessing the potential of individual athletes, and self-assessing by collecting feedback from athletes (Paquette et al. 2014). The main responsibility of the coach is to define goals and implement activities to achieve the set goals. There are various studies on the subject that identify important attributes of an effective coach. These attributes include self-awareness, basic coaching skills, and knowledge of ethics and related terms. As an additional attribute, studies have also addressed the capacity to manage the coaching relationship (Bailey, Cope and Pearce 2013). To support a coach’s knowledge, it is also necessary to relate factors that impact the individual and the organization as a whole. Thus, as a general definition of coaching, it can be said that coaching is a general adult learning strategy based on the ability to improve existing competencies and develop new skills to acquire deeper knowledge for appropriate performance in future activities (Rynne and Mallett 2014). Coaching is an ongoing process that helps learners acquire new skills and improve the ones they already have.

Structure

According to psychological theory, there are four approaches that can influence a coach’s performance. The four specific forces are Freudian, humanistic, behavioral, and transpersonal approaches. Referring to such a personality to impart psychological strength to the coach, the name Williams James is worth mentioning. James focuses on brain functions with spatial awareness, will, attention, telepathy, and habit. As a coach, individual preferences are provided based on humanistic coaching theory to team members. Therefore, certain strategies are followed to establish effective training for team members. First, the initiative to know the level of sports passion of each team member. For the next step, it is important to introduce the strategy of the integer part method. A thorough knowledge of the fundamentals gives an advantage as team members follow a psychological checklist to gain skills the right way. The main thing to avoid during coaching is evaluating members and applying self-assessment to strengthen the coach’s potential.

Conclusion

To sum up, we can say that sports coaching and its relationship to micropolitics is a universal one. Politics is an integral part of sports. Many research groups see the inclusion of politics in sport as a challenge that affects the entire field and the lives of athletes. However, there are a large number of strategies to improve the quality of training and avoid the athletic coach’s labeled limitations. The humanistic approach is the one most suitable for better management of any training or sports coaching activity.
