This is the draft submission of your e-portfolio. E-portfolios are a collection of work to showcase yourself, your accomplishments, and what you’ve completed in this course. 

E-Portfolio Preparation

1. Platform Selection: Use an online website platform to create your e-portfolio. There are plenty of free options available, so there’s no need to spend money on a URL or website development unless you choose to. These free templates are perfect for creating a professional-looking e-portfolio.
2. Recommended Platforms: Consider using Wix. or Canva., which offer easy-to-use e-portfolio templates.
3. Customization: Choose a template that aligns with your style and build your e-portfolio. Customize the colors, images, and themes to ensure they reflect the personal brand you developed in Module 2 and focus on the “Past Experience Focus” you chose in Module 1. 
4. Publish: Once you have added the elements listed below, don’t forget to publish your URL and share the live link so that I can view and grade your website. This URL will be different from the “editor” URL listed at the top of your screen while you’re working. 
5. Draft Stage: Remember, this is a draft version, so it doesn’t need to be perfect. Focus on getting your ideas and content in place; you will have time to refine it later.

E-Portfolio Elements and Requirements

1. Profile Image:
   • Why it’s important: A professional image helps create a strong first impression and establishes credibility.
   • Requirements: Use a high-resolution photo of yourself that does not include other people. If necessary, take a new photo that best represents you in a professional manner.
2. Contact Information:
   • Why it’s important: Providing formal contact information makes it easy for potential employers or collaborators to reach you.
   • Requirements: Include a professional email address or a work number if available. Do not share your personal address, phone number, birthday, or other sensitive personal details.
3. Leadership Section:
   • Why it’s important: Highlighting your leadership skills and style shows your ability to guide and influence others.
   • Requirements: Write at least 3-4 sentences that outline your unique leadership style and specific skills that set you apart as a leader.
4. Elevator Speech:
   • Why it’s important: An elevator speech succinctly communicates who you are, your strengths, and what you bring to the table.
   • Requirements: Include the video of your recorded elevator speech. If you prefer not to upload the video, provide a text version of your speech written in 3-5 sentences.
5. Skills and Achievements:
   • Why it’s important: Showcasing your skills and achievements helps demonstrate your qualifications and the value you can offer.
   • Requirements: List at least 5 key skills and 2-3 achievements that highlight your expertise and accomplishments.
6. Personal Values:
   • Why it’s important: Knowing and communicating your core values can help you attract opportunities that align with your beliefs and goals.
   • Requirements: Write 3-4 sentences that outline your top values and explain how they influence your personal and professional decisions.
7. Professional Experience:
   • Why it’s important: Documenting your work experience provides a clear picture of your career journey and relevant expertise.
   • Requirements: Write a brief summary (3-5 sentences) for each role that includes your key responsibilities and contributions.
8. Portfolio Projects:
   • Why it’s important: Including examples of your work demonstrates your skills in action and validates your capabilities.
   • Requirements: Upload 2-3 project examples or case studies that are relevant to your field, with a short description (2-3 sentences) explaining each project.

Troubleshooting Tips:

• Be an Active Learner: If you get stuck using any feature of the website builder, take the initiative to find solutions.
• Search for Help: Platforms like Wix and Canva have plenty of tutorials available. Look up specific videos on YouTube to quickly learn how to resolve your issue.
• Privacy: If you’re not comfortable sharing your accomplishments online, that’s completely okay. You can always unpublish your portfolio website once the class is over. Additionally, both Wix and Canva offer the option to create a private website that can only be accessed with a passcode. Here are some helpful videos on how to set up this feature for both Wix. and Canva.. If you choose to protect your site with a passcode, please remember to include the code in your submission comments so I can access your portfolio for grading.

These elements will help create a well-rounded e-portfolio that effectively showcases your skills, values, and personal brand. Each section has specific requirements to ensure clarity and professionalism, making it easier for viewers to understand who you are and what you offer.
